Central Training Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Apprenticeship tutor/assessor to join their team to deliver apprenticeship training with a variety of different public sector organisations.
The successful applicant will need to hold a full assessor’s award, TAQA or equivalent and have experience of delivering Functional Skills in English and Maths.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience of Apprenticeship delivery and assessment is required, and the successful applicant must have strong vocational skills in Business Administration and Customer Service. Experience of delivering Team Leading and Management would also be advantageous.
You must have achieved Grade A*-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths, and a teaching qualification is desirable but not essential. Strong ICT skills, organisation skills, and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential and you must also have experience in using electronic portfolios.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £28,000.00 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

TEACHING & LEARNING ASSISTANT REQUIRED

Central Training Group, a Grade 2 Training Provider based in Essex, is seeking a individual with a passion for developing and educating young people to join us at our new centre in Grays from September 2024.
It is an exciting time to join Central as we look to grow our offer to young people aged 16-18 in this area.
With over 25 years of experience, we are one of the largest private training providers in the UK, offering a wide range of apprenticeships and learning programs.
Duties:
- Supporting students with their academic and personal growth by fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.
- Assisting teaching and delivery staff in planning and delivering sessions/activities to meet individual learner needs.
- Promoting independence, equality, diversity and respect.
- Supporting student progress, both on a group and one to one basis.
- Supporting students with social skills development.
- Reporting learner absences to parents/guardians.
- Updating classroom registers and reporting learner absences to parents/guardians and/or other organisations involved in the students care.
- Classroom management.
- Supporting the teaching and delivery staff with preparation of resources.
Hours of work:
9am to 4.30pm Wednesday & Thursday currently. In 2025 hours will increase to include Monday & Tuesday 9am to 4.30pm.
What we are looking for:
- Patience, empathy and a passion in supporting young people.
- Minimum of 18 months experience of supporting teachers/tutors in a classroom environment. Preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Sensitivity and understanding.
- The ability to create the best conditions for learning or teaching new things.
- Good communication skills including a minimum grade 4 (or equivalent) in both English and Maths
- Good ICT skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Have a DBS check or be willing to complete one.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS TUTOR REQUIRED
Vocational Training & Functional Skills Tutor REQUIRED
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working closely with young people aged 16-19, providing delivery in vocational subjects (employability, personal development) as well as Functional Skills in English and Maths.
Duties
- Engagement and Delivery: Design and deliver interactive sessions aimed at promoting personal development and growth among students as well as delivering accredited qualifications in Occupational Studies and Employability.
- Deliver and support students with Functional Skills Maths and English from Entry level a though to Level 2.
- Tailored Support: Customise sessions to address the unique needs of student groups, covering topics such as online safety, sexual violence prevention, and British Values.
- Student Development: Implement student-centered programs emphasising softer outcomes to facilitate positive progression into adulthood.
- Employability Focus: Enhance students’ work readiness through targeted initiatives and support.
- Support students with targeted work experience and social action projects.
- Liaise with the wider team regarding safeguarding, attendance, progress and achievements.
