Saying Farewell to Elaine: Honouring 38 Years of Excellence at Central Training Group

Elaine, the revered Director of Quality at Central Training Group, has bid us farewell as she embarks on a well-deserved retirement. For almost 40 remarkable years, Elaine has been the cornerstone of excellence, setting the highest standards in quality and dedication. Her impact on the organization and all who had the privilege of working with her is immeasurable.

Celebrating a Remarkable Journey

Elaine’s journey with us has been a remarkable one. In need of some teaching experience, she joined our ranks and quickly started working part time, covering personal development classes for our students in Southend. Through her hard work and dedication to making Central a fantastic place to learn, it was inevitable that she worked her way to a place on the board of directors.

As we celebrate Elaine, we are reminded of not just her professional achievements but also the personal connections she forged along the way. Managing Director, Primrose Campbell, says “Elaine has contributed so much to Central of which we are eternally grateful for.  Many of the staff have benefited from her leadership, guidance, and kindness. We will surely miss Elaine and wish her all the best in her retirement.”

We were privileged to celebrate not just the professional milestones but also the personal connections and memories we have shared by giving her the best send off with a fantastic leaving do and lovely lunch at the Ivy.

Belts and Braces: Embracing Elaine's Legacy

While Elaine may be retiring from her role as Director of Quality, her legacy of excellence and dedication will continue to inspire us all. As we bid her farewell, let us honour her contributions by carrying forward the values she embodied – commitment to quality, dedication to excellence, and a spirit of collaboration that drives us to achieve our best.

You may be wondering, who will be driving quality in Central now that Elaine has retired? Ever prepared, Elaine says “I have been succession planning for a long time and I’m confident everything is covered with the lovely Sarah Ludlow taking up the quality baton!!”.

There is no better time for me to retire than after a GOOD Ofsted outcome. Achieved by everyone’s continuing commitment to quality training, support for learners and adapting to the ever-changing landscape for training providers.

The end of an Era: Farewell and Thank You Elaine

Chairman Martin Kolton MBE, speaks for all of us at Central Training Academy when he says: “Elaine, wishing you all the best for the future, you will be sorely missed. Onwards and upwards to your next adventure!”

Elaine’s retirement marks the end of an era at Central Training Group, but it also signals the beginning of a new chapter inspired by her legacy of excellence. The Board of Directors and everyone at Central bids her a fond farewell, knowing that her influence will continue to shape and guide us in the years to come.
