Enrolling in a Study Programme with Central Training Group can lead to a fulfilling customer service career.

Have you just finished school, a course, or are you looking for fresh start? Are you interested in customer service training and acquiring transferable skills? Are you up for blending classroom, home-based and on-the-job training in a fully-mentored environment? If that sounds good and you’re aged between 16 – 24, you could be eligible for a Greater Anglia Traineeship in partnership with Central Training Group and springboard yourself into a fantastic career in customer service.

What will I gain?

As part of the traineeship programme, you’ll be undertaking training for a rail transport customer service role. You’ll be involved in meeting and greeting customers, selling tickets, helping answer travel queries and many other aspects required by this customer-facing role.

That kind of experience is hard to beat and it’ll be a real boost for your CV but there’s much more you’ll get from this course. If you pass the study programme, Central Training Group are accredited to award you with a diploma in customer service.

Plus, you’ll be learning skills which are directly transferable to jobs within customer service roles in many industries.

When does it start?

We’re ready to start now! Are you? We’re opening several new Greater Anglia customer service study programme places for young people who are committed to improving their career prospects – one of those place could be yours. If you are selected, you’ll undertake an 12-week programme which places you at the heart of the rail transport industry to make sure that you’re supported and challenged throughout the course.

Where will I be based?

For part of the course, you’ll be based at Greater Anglia’s Training Suite in Stratford, London, where Central Training Group will provided classroom-based learning. You’ll also complete home-based and online training and learn on placement in a Greater Anglia station where you’ll be actively engaged in providing customer service to our customers.

Who can apply?

Central Training Group designed this programme to specifically help you if you are:

  • currently not in work or education,
  • have little or no work experience, and
  • are aged 16 to 18, up to 24 with Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) and qualified below Level 4 (A level)

 

We want to help you work towards a bright future career in customer service but you need to make sure it’s a good fit for you.

Your work experience will take place in a fast-paced environment and you will be coming face-to-face with customers. This means you will need to be friendly, approachable and enjoy working with other people. You will also need to be enthusiastic, hardworking and be willing to learn from your peers and from those with more experience. You must be eligible to work in the UK to apply.
