Your average 23 year old woman doesn’t spend a lot of time thinking about breast cancer. Drinkies with besties, Yes, next holiday, sure, but not breast cancer, because that only happens when your older, right? Perhaps Kris Hallenga was unlucky, after finding a lump and a few months later she found she had secondary breast cancer. Now living with disease and realising there simply wasn’t enough information out there for young people, Kris has developed a charity organisation called ‘CoppaFeel’. We strongly suggest you check out their website here coppafeel.org, and get yourself educated about the most common cancer in the UK.
Here at Central, we’ve realised that this topic is really important, with around 55,000 women and 370 men being diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK. With that in mind we are going to add breast cancer awareness to the curriculum of every programme.
