THE FIRST National Apprenticeship Week took place in 2007 to highlight the many advantages of being an apprentice and, right from the start, Central Training Academy has supported these valuable weeks.
Now that we are marking National Apprenticeship Week 2025, we at Central are continuing to shout about what we do and why apprentices thrive in our centres and working alongside our amazing tutors.
So what do we do that is different? We support our learners on many levels – not just with their studies, core skills and professional development, but with their personal growth too. We provide mentoring and have lots of trained (MHFA) Mental Health First Aiders.
For our hairdressing apprentices, we give fantastic opportunities to get involved in projects away from the salon and training centres. We have enjoyed lots of success in competitions such as Concept Magazine’s Learner of the Year and with apprentices entering our very own Central Photographic competition.
We work with the best in the business when it comes to professional growth. Our hairdressing learners are regulars at the Wella Studio in London where they have the chance to further hone their skills. Whilst we work closely with national employers in training employees in areas such as customer service and businesses administration.
Shouting about what we do across socials and in person helps let everyone know what we are about. During National Apprenticeship Week, February 10th-16th 2025, our centres are open to anyone who wants to walk in and have a chat about their apprenticeship options. Take a tour of our centres and take the chance to get first hand info from our students, staff and tutors!
Finally, the facts speak for themselves. Our award winning team have 100% success rate when it comes to our learners passing their vital End Point Assessments. In fact recently two of our learners gained !00% in these exams showing through a combination of natural talent, hard work and great teaching!
Our current Ofsted rating is Good and this means across the board. For us, working with young people is a privilege and one we do not take lightly. The welfare, happiness and future success of all our apprentices will always be our number one priority.
