Each year, our hairdressing learners get the chance to attend Salon International to see the latest in the world of hair. Here’s what happened in 2025…
This October, we took a group of our talented Hairdressing learners from Southend, Clacton-on-Sea and Canvey to London for Salon International 2025, the UK’s biggest and most influential hairdressing event of the year, held at the ExCeL Centre.
For many, it was their first time in London and their first opportunity to experience a major industry event. And they absolutely loved it.
What is Salon International?
Salon International is the go-to annual event for hair professionals, students, and educators. It’s where the industry’s top brands, stylists, and influencers come together to share new styles, showcase live demonstrations, and reveal the latest trends and tools shaping the future of hair.
This year’s event featured world-class exhibitors and sponsors, including Schwarzkopf Professional, Wella, Denman, L’Oréal Professionnel, BaByliss PRO, and many more. From cutting-edge colour demos to barber battles and styling showcases, it’s a dream day out for anyone passionate about hair.
But for our learners, it was more than just a fun day out. It was a powerful opportunity to see where a career in hairdressing can take them. They met industry icons, asked questions, explored new techniques, and saw first-hand the wide range of career paths available in this creative, exciting sector.

Despite the huge crowds and buzzing atmosphere, our learners didn’t just keep up, they thrived. They took part in hands-on activities like Schwarzkopf’s spin-the-wheel challenge, soaked up industry insights, and watched professional stylists in action with confidence and curiosity.
They left feeling inspired, more connected to the industry, and excited for what’s next in their training journey. Our tutors are incredibly proud of how each learner represented Central Hairdressing Academy with enthusiasm, professionalism and pride.
