During this trip, you will gain valuable insights into the cost of equipment, products, and resources needed to establish themselves in the industry. 
  • Life Skills – gain an Open University–certified qualification in Communication in the Workplace, equipping you with essential skills for future employment.

If you haven’t yet achieved a Functional Skill or GCSE in Maths or English, don’t worry – we’ll support you to gain these essential qualifications alongside your hairdressing studies, giving you the well-rounded foundation employers are looking for.

One year – full time, 2 days a week plus work experience

Skills Learned:
  • Health & Safety– monitor and maintain salon standards to ensure a safe, professional environment. 
  • Consultation Expertise – support colleagues and deliver advanced consultations for hair services. 
  • Advanced Cutting Techniques – cut men’s hair to create a variety of stylish and contemporary looks. 
  • Facial Hair Design – cut and shape facial hair to suit different face shapes and fashion trends. 
  • Creative Hairdressing Design Skills – explore imaginative approaches to barbering and enhance your creative edge. 
  • Client Care & Retail – promote and sell products and services to build client loyalty and increase salon success. 
  • Hair Pattern Design – design and create patterns in hair to showcase creativity.
